From the #1 bestselling author of the Harry Bosch and the Lincoln Lawyer series and who "is the master of the universe in which he lives" (Huffington Post), comes the gripping novel that inspired the film starring Clint Eastwood.
When Graciella Rivers steps onto his boat, ex-FBI agent Terrell McCaleb has no idea he's about to come out of retirement. He's recuperating from a heart transplant and avoiding anything stressful. But when Graciella tells him the way her sister, Gloria, was murdered, Terry realizes he has no choice. Now the man with the new heart vows to take down a predator without a soul. For Gloria's killer shatters every rule that McCaleb ever learned in his years with the Bureau-as McCaleb gets no more second chances at life...and just one shot at the truth.

In addition, Dick Hill is one of my favorite narrators because of the range of characters he can pull off.... women, hispanic, russian. I wish he narrated all of Connelly's books. You will not be disappointed in any way with Blood Work!

Where does Blood Work rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Blood Work was not my first choice in the Connelly bookcase, but now I am so glad that I did download it. I was for some reason was very reticent about the blurb - but while listening to this narrative I became transfixed. Connelly truly knows how to weave a story and grab the readers attention. The twist were not what I was expecting and that was exciting, though I did feel the ending was a little rushed, but hey, I am not a writer!Who was your favorite character and why?
Terrell McCaleb was great, I liked his methodical approach to paperwork and to chasing the "Tell". Connelly allows us to journey with Terrell and this allows us to make a connection with him as he discovers information but also as he travels through his health concerns.Winston was also a character that I liked, her strong and fair nature appealed to me and this helped create a balance with other police in the story.
Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Don't mind Dick Hill at all, I find him easy to listen to and soothing to the ear. Nice Job!Any additional comments?
