Jesse Callahan was happy with his life in the saddle, collecting bounties and rambling the wilderness with his trusty mare, Birdy. Then one night, deep in the rugged mountains of New Mexico Territory, he came across the famous Black Spur Ranch.

The treacherous flames and cold-blooded killings from that night set him on a new path. One littered with blood-thirsty outlaws, long-kept secrets, and unexpected new relations. It’s a tall order for one man to guard so much, but with so many innocent folks relying on him, there’s only one thing to do.

And he’ll do whatever it takes to track down every last man who spilled blood on their lands that night.
