President of the Western Writers of America, Cotton Smith is critically lauded for his resurrection of the classic Western. A bit long in the tooth, Bass Tillman has given up the guns and gone respectable. But then his son and daughter-in-law are murdered in cold blood, and he swears on their graves he will bring their killers to justice.©2007 Cotton Smith (P)2008 Recorded Books Westerns Genre Fiction Historical Fiction Fiction

Excellent stray and outstanding performance by Henry Strozier. Strozier really shines, he does amazing Scottish And German characters. While he does these characters he jumps in and out of multiple American characters which I realized was very difficult but his outstanding artistry makes it seem easy. The book was superb and the narration was exactly what was needed to bring it to life. The protagonist has many things to sort out while the plot builds and the details and mystery that unfold builds as the book goes on. Bass Tillman gives the listener insight into his mind, while unraveling the mystery and developing a terrific ending

Great book, very entertaining and well performed

bought in Jun 2012. Was looking for something to listen to and could not remember this story.
2nd listen seemed to strike something in me and as I listened I found it to be a very good story.
Strange how sum times a 2nd listen brings out things that I never heard in 1st.

On 2nd listening found to be a really good book
