When people turned 70 years of age in a remote African village, they were sacrificially fed to the hyenas, but only after a lavish celebration relating to their birthday. There were no retirement communities or nursing homes for these villages in 1605, so all of the elderly, handicapped, or disabled were eventually sacrificed to wildlife. This was considered just part of the circle of life. One elderly man attempted to change his fate, and this is his bloody tale.
