Olla has a serial killer
This killer has made a list, and those names correspond to the bodies Lana Blain has been hired to investigate.
Chief Woodley doesn't care that people are dying in his town. Small-minded Olla doesn't care they're losing folks under bad circumstances. When a ghost from Lana's past shows up, things get far more complicated for her. She can't be Olla's forensic pathologist--do her job to the best of her abilities--if Agent Clayton Stanton is hanging around and asking questions she doesn't want to answer.

Small-minded Olla threw Clayton out, and they most likely wagered he'd never return, unless it was with his tail between his legs. But, he's the best at what he does.
So far, there have been unexplained murders, and very little evidence at the crime scenes. Does it help that back in high school things went south between him and Lana? Heck no. It's been fifteen years. She'll just have to get over the fact he's returned with a federal badge.
