Before Christmas Key became a year-round holiday haven, Bonnie Lane was just looking for a reason to start over.

When Bonnie’s husband dies suddenly, she’s left grieving, restless, and unsure of what comes next. Her grown sons have lives of their own. Atlanta no longer feels like home. And all Bonnie knows for sure is that she needs a change.

One trip to a tiny island off the Florida coast changes everything.

At the time, Christmas Key isn’t the bustling, beachy paradise it is today. Jack Frosty’s doesn’t exist. Holly Baxter has just graduated high school. And the island is still quiet, raw, and full of possibility.

But for Bonnie, it’s exactly what she needs.

Step back in time to see how Christmas Key got its heart—and how one woman found a second chance in the most unexpected place.

A companion novella. Can be read at any point in the series.

I truly hope audible is not going to start using Virtual Voice more in the near future. This will cause me to cancel my subscription. It sounds very robotic, weird pronouncement of words & even more odd is the pauses and sometimes the lack there of. It is very hard as the listener to bond with the story when you hear odd things and wonder “what did she just say?” I will be very careful in the future to pay attention to “who” is actually preforming the book. I’m sure Virtual Voice is helping Audible’s bottom line. It’s easy to not have to employ and or pay a robot. Shameful. It’s hard to believe that the author is okay with this policy.
