The Chilson Library bookmobile has a new stop on its route: Honey Hollow Adult Foster Care. When Minnie learns that Honey Hollow is just down the road from an enclave of gorgeous Victorian homes, she decides she just has to take a look, especially after she learns that a Honey Hollow resident used to clean identical houses that stood side by side, and were owned by twin siblings. But when Minnie and Eddie and the bookmobile take their scenic detour, Eddie uncharacteristically escapes from the bookmobile—and finds a woman in the woods, horribly wounded with an arrow.

Though Minnie desperately calls 9-1-1, all too soon she realizes she was too late. Police seem ready to call the death a hunting accident, but Minnie can't shake the feeling that foul play was involved, particularly given the woman's final whispered words. With evidence lacking, Minnie and Eddie will have to claw their way through a thicket of suspects to find the truth.

LOVE THAT EDDIE! ANOTHER GOOD BOOK DROM AUTHOR LAURIE CASS…😊

I’ve waited a long time for Ms. Cass to do another Eddie book and the wait was worth it. Eddie is as lovable as he always is (having six smart cats of my own, I often talk to them as Minnie does to Eddie, just not in as much detail).

The storyline was very good. For a good part of the book I didn’t know who the killer was, and as it turned out, my guess was completely wrong (if I had been able to guess easily, the book would have been boring).

I’m happy that in this book Minnie and Rafe are finally happily married. If I had another career choice at this stage in my life, I’d really enjoy being a librarian. Driving a book mobile and sharing the love of reading sounds like a wonderful way to make a living. If one HAS to work, they should love what they do, right? Even now, I still toy with the idea of returning to college, this time, majoring in library science. Every time I read a “Minnie and Eddie” book, the idea returns to the front of my mind and fans the flame.😊

I have two small complaints about this book (maybe it’s my mood today): 1. Minnie babbles and rambles on way too much in this book for my liking; and 2. Julia and her accents…they’re NOT good and I wouldn’t miss them a bit if they were absent in future books.

Over all, I enjoyed the story and as always, I enjoyed Ms. Bennett’s narration. I can’t imagine anyone else as the voice of Minnie.💕

If you are a Minnie and Eddie fan, I definitely recommend this fun book.

Unique and humerous bookmobile stories

I love her stories and the only suggestion I have is to address the grammar: "to tell the truth/ to be honest"- suggest dishonesty; "different than"- typical American zinglish since we're comparing 2 things; "thoughts and prayers...'yuk! "oldest son" instead of "older son" since there are 2: and "no problem" suggests there is a problem.
But I love her Eddie stories and the book mobile. there are imagination and variety in each tale. .. this is my 5th!

Loved it

Laurie Cass has crafted another great addition to the Bookmobile Cat Mysteries Series. All the usual characters are present as well as an intriguing mystery to solve.
Erin Bennett gave a standout performance as she brought the story to life and gave each character their own distinct voice.
I highly recommend this book and series to cozy mystery fans.

The only thing disappointing about the series is how long I have to wait for the next one to come out!
