There seem to be a lot of memories of childhood. I found myself going, “I remember that.” But after a time the effect was that most of us, no matter what era we grew up in, could make such a list of memories. Young adulthood was missing. There was No I hated ABBA or I hated disco mentioned.
I have to admit that as I listened I never got any sense that the writer hated baby boomers. The characters are all just remembering their young days. The play is not judgmental. After it ended I wondered why so much time was spent on things from childhood though.
