The cavalry escorting the pay wagon coming to Fort Clark was overdue. Tye Watkins, Chief of Scouts at the fort, was dispatched to find them. "An easy assignment," he figured. What he didn't know was that the problem was a bit more difficult than a broken-down transport. What he would find once he located the escort would make the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. Along this arid and dangerous territory along the Texas-Mexico border anything can happen if you let your guard down. Tye knows this well, and it will take all his knowledge and skill of survival to overcome this life-threatening adventure.

This is the first book in this series. This is about an army scout. (Tye Watkins.) Tye is like a one man army. Starting out a payroll shipment has been stolen. Tye has to go find it. Tye scouts ahead and let's the army patrol know if it's safe. Tye is well known and the outlaws and Indians fear him. This is an excellent book. I enjoyed it. A definitely five star book in my opinion. Rusty Nelson did a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.
