Abuse of and by children

The mystery was compelling and the role of adults at the time of the 1st murder inexcusable. The impact of the murder when children reached adulthood was far reaching and degree of revenge unexpected

Another really good mystery in this series...

I like the building of the plot, the characters and the mystery. The author intricately weaves the past and present as the complexity grows. The tenacious detective doesn't let go until she solves the case.

Too many coincidences

A box of important evidence just happens to show up when the detective moves… two survivors of violence just happen to become housemates by answering an ad in the paper. Too bad that the author took these shortcuts because this book could have been good.
