This is the second book about Branson Hawk. This is a western mystery. I liked this book better than the first. I liked the first but I didn't like that he didn't use his badge to be in control and let other people control him. In this book he let people know he was in charge. I had to laugh at how nieve he was. He meets a woman and falls head over heels for her. He tags along like a teenager love struck. She uses him to help her pull of her plans. Even when he should of suspected her he still gave her the benefit of the doubt. I like how he's growing and learning and getting tougher as a Marshall. All in all I liked the book and want to listen to the next book. Scott Miller does a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below.
