Teenager Cason Martin is the youngest ballerina in the Atlanta Ballet Conservatory. She never really had a choice of whether she learned to dance or not. Her mother, the conservatory's artistic director, has made all the decisions in Cason's life. But that's about to change. Cason has been hiding an injury, and it's much worse than anyone imagines.

Davis Channing understands all too well what it's like to give up control of your life. He's survived cancer, but his drug addiction nearly killed him. Now he's been sober for seven months and enjoying his community service at the hospital. But just when he thinks he's got it together, Davis' ex-girlfriend, who is still battling her addiction, barrels back into his life.

Cason and Davis are not friends. But, as their worlds collide, they will start to depend on one another. Can they both be brave enough to beat the odds?

Emotional, doesn't pull punches.

There is something absolutely gripping about this story. There are some moments of real horror and real despair, and the story doesn't bullshit or sugar coat it. There are so many stories I've read over the years that just don't hit authentically. But this absolutely does.

Absolutely Amazing

Chronic illness life is the only one I’ve ever truly know. Though I didn’t receive my first diagnosis till my teen years I battled my body consumed with many illnesses.

I’m in my late 20s now. I never had access to books with chronically I’ll or disabled characters.

I savored each moment listening to this book. It brightened my days in the hospital & keep me company on nights the pain insomnia kept me up.

The reader feels like they are in the story. I love everything about this book. Honestly, I don’t have any complaints or things I didn’t like.

I believe books & music for the disabled community is life giving. It’s an amazing way to heal the heart.

It’s an excellent book. I highly recommend even if you’re older than the recommended age group.
