This series is best read in order. Mika may have signed up to be a bride to an alien, but that’s what anyone sentenced to life in prison would do. That didn’t mean she planned to keep her end of he agreement. She’d be damned if she’d allow them to take her to a foreign planet to marry some alien. She didn’t get a chance to tell them that. A group of pirates hijacked the ship she and the other mail order brides were on. And now, she’s stuck on some other planet with the pirates. And one of them is too damned sexy for her own good. And the government has put a bounty on the cell block brides’ heads. The problem is, now she doesn’t mind the notion of being a bride, but not to the one the government wants her to take.

Good story to read on a slow day

Like the first book in this series, I felt disconnected from the leads at intervals in the book.

Overall, this is a good story if you've just finished a high angst series and want something light to cleanse your reader palate.
