Penelope, I know that it’s three o’clock in the morning, but I need to get this off my chest.

I can’t give you any more advice on landing this other guy, can’t tell you another “sexy” thing that you should do, or suggest a new set of filthy words that you should text him late at night.

As your best friend, I’ve reached my limit, and I can honestly say that he doesn’t deserve you.

I’m not saying all of this because I’m f--king jealous, or because he had the audacity to say that he makes more money than me. (I still can’t find his name on the Forbes 500 list, and I know damn well that he’s renting that Ferrari, but that’s a story for a different day).

He’s not who you think he is, and the better man has always been right in front of you....

You have every reason to never give me a chance since you know me better than anyone, and you agree with all the tabloids calling me The Cocky King of New York, and the Untamed Playboy of Manhattan. But I honestly believe that you’re better off with someone else, and I need you to see.

I’m not asking for too much....

I just want you to break up with him, for me.

Whitney G. is gifted. Her back and forth dialogue with the characters is unmatched. Worth every bit of my time and the credit.

The concept of the story was great but trying to follow it was virtually impossible caring about not being able to follow it virtually not at all. Any success this book has is due to the narrators. Story could’ve taken place and 1/3 the time and even that is being generous.

Great narration mediocre story

Never heard of this writer and was not expecting much. On that note, it kept me wanting more. This book was very good on keeping you guessing. I'm looking for more from this writer.

This was a great book! The chapters were unnecessarily confusing. No need to try to put a creative spin on something like that. It’s one thing to voice between the past and present, but the chapter titles drive me crazy.
Definitely worth a credit though!

I love the banter that Whitney G can write. The chemistry is amazing! Watching Hayden get knocked down a few pegs while seeing Penelope grow into herself was fun to watch. The amount of times I wanted to throw my earphones because they were “friends” and nothing more… ugh! It got a little muddy in the middle but the end was worth it.
Also I enjoyed the flashbacks. They really added to their relationship, showing how close they had gotten as friends.
Erin & Joe were great as always. I love how deep (heh) Erin’s voice can get, it matches Joe’s well.

The banter was so fun!
