Are you brave enough to look in the mirror? You’ve been told you’re controlling. That you don’t listen. That everything feels one-sided. And deep down, you’ve wondered: Is it me? If you’re courageous enough to confront your own narcissistic traits — and ready to stop repeating patterns that damage your relationships — this book is your turning point. Unlike most books that teach you how to survive a narcissist, Breaking Free From the Mirror is written for those who suspect they may be the one creating emotional chaos… and who genuinely want to change.

Inside, you’ll discover a clear, research-backed roadmap to:

- break free from toxic behavioural cycles- regulate your emotions without denial or defensiveness

- heal the deeper emotional wounds driving control, validation-seeking, or disconnection

- build self-compassion and emotionally intelligent, honest relationships.

Written by Allen Roberts, who once lived this painful cycle and broke free himself, Breaking Free From the Mirror: How to Stop Being Narcissistic offers a no-nonsense, practical guide to real personal transformation. If you’re ready to stop making excuses, take responsibility, and become more self-aware, grounded, and emotionally available, the cycle can end here. The mirror you’ve been trapped behind is starting to crack. It’s time to step through it. Your true self is enough — and it’s been waiting on the other side.

This practical guide provided me with exercises to help keep me calm when I'm stressed and build some empathy for others. There are lots of exercises but some of them felt a little forced but there are many so didn't expect everything to work.

This book feels like the other side of the mirror we look at every day. We are quick to call others narcissists, but this audiobook made me stop and look at myself for once. I think we all have some narcissistic traits or at least certain patterns, and this book helped me notice mine. For me, it became a very personal journey to start changing the things I don’t want to see in myself anymore.

I loved how I took something valuable from every chapter, even from the smallest insights. Chapter 4 was a huge discovery for me because my whole life I’ve felt that other people seemed to have a deeper level of connection with others. Through understanding empathy better, I feel I can begin building more meaningful relationships.

The chapter about control was a masterpiece. I think many listeners will gain profound insight into why they are the way they are. That chapter alone is worth the entire audiobook.

My wife has told me for years that I'm a Narcissist but I haven't paid much attention to her. However, after reading through this book, I can see why she would say that about me. I'm now working on changing using the step by step guide with the exercises that the book provided.
