What did you love best about Breaking the Rules?

I love how strong and loving the characters are. Barbara Samuel has a way of pulling you into a story and then it never leaves you. I love how adult the topics are and how doing the right thing is always an underlining theme.

What other book might you compare Breaking the Rules to and why?

Jezebel's Blues, Walk in Beauty, Midnight Rain and anything else by Barbara Samuel.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Zeke finally realize he can't live without Mattie. I also like when Zeke and Mattie work out their demons together.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

At the end when Mattie comes back and Zeke can't get enough of her.

I love Barbara Samuel's contemporary stories the most, but her historical novels are good too.
