They currently serve at one of the largest Presbyterian churches in the United States, with Jay as Executive Pastor and Rebecca as Women's Ministry Director. Clear Honest and Sincere Communication is so important in Marriage!

My Husband & I - have been listening as we travel in our car- we stop the tape and have long “honest” discussions. So Grateful for Audible - listening to Rebecca and Jay as they tell their own story individually, collectively and sincerely - open and willing to be authentically honest with their own stories! Love the fact that they have lived the story and are still living it and sharing it! Often I had to hand my husband a tissue (as he was driving) in tears as he was moved by their story!

I have been fortunate to have read this book once, studied it in my women's ministry, and now listened to it through the voice of the authors and have been moved each time. Breathless Haste is a gift to anyone who reads or listens! I loved hearing each chapter told from the perspective of as well as read aloud by either Jay or Rebecca. This is an incredible memoir detailing the highs and lows of their lives and the constant presence of the Lord through it all. The Maddens detail spiritual practices (journaling, reading scripture, solitude, prayer) that have helped them truly discern God’s will in their lives. This book is such an encouragement to reduce distractions and to truly listen and look for God’s will in my own life. Highly recommend!
