From USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn comes a witty friends to lovers . . . turns . . . enemies to lovers romance.

Everly Plum is delighted to be heading up the Bridesmaid for Hire program at Magical Moments by Maggie. And when Hardy Hopper, one of their billionaire investors, approaches Everly for help with his friends' wedding, she's more than happy to step in. But Hardy has an extra assignment for her: his ex-girlfriend will be the maid of honor opposite his role as best man, and he wants Everly's help getting her back.

There's only one problem: Everly may have a tiny crush on the dashing businessman. But despite the way Hardy makes her stomach flutter, she's determined to prove herself, both as a bridesmaid and as a matchmaker. That is, until she finds her crush turning into real feelings. Not to mention, Hardy can't help but notice how well he clicks with Everly, and before he knows it, he's not looking for his ex's attention anymore.

But even after their simmering attraction finally rises to the surface, they will have to contend with meddling friends, poor timing, and professional boundaries—and the risk that no one might get a second chance after all.

The narrators were fantastic and get a 5. Unfortunately, the MMC in this story just wasn't likeable and was entirely clueless, and made the entire story hard to like. Plus it just seemed to drag on too long. I absolutely adored the first book in this series, so I am hopeful for future books. This one was just not for me.

Great narration on a meh story

Meghan Quinn’s Bridesmaid Undercover is a delightful friends-to-lovers romance that masterfully combines slow-burn tension with witty banter in a charming wedding setting. The story follows Hardy, the best man determined to win back his ex, the maid of honor, and Everly, the sharp and dedicated wedding planner who agrees to help him in his quest.

I listened to the audiobook version, and Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke delivered fantastic performances, full of authentic chemistry. Quinn’s natural storytelling skills bring this workplace romance to life, as the simmering attraction between Hardy and Everly gradually builds into something undeniable. The characters’ playful exchanges and heartfelt moments make this novel a thoroughly enjoyable read, showcasing Quinn's ability to create engaging, emotionally rich romances that keep readers hooked until the very last page. Five smooches from me for Bridesmaid Undercover by Meghan Quinn!

Thank you Meghan Quinn and KP Simmon for the ALC. This book was delightful! When I learned about this book, I was excited to start reading it because I thought that the previous book, Bridesmaid for Hire, was hilarious and fun! I liked Everly‘s character from Bridesmaid for Hire, and looked forward to learning more about her personality. When Everly and Hardy would have inner monologues when they were around each other, I felt their nervousness and excitement. Or cringed with them with embarrassment. Sometimes it was a challenge to follow the shifting dialogue between the characters’ inner thoughts and back to the conversation without seeing (literally) the quotation marks.

Everly has been one of my favorite romance heroines because she is witty, has a good sense of humor, is vulnerable, but also passionate. She has weakness for this man, and it shows when she tries so hard to be strong and resist him, yet she simply has to give in to her desires.

The book is narrated in duet by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke. I think all romance books should be narrated in duet. Samantha was a perfect Everly, and Jason’s voice is so seductive (except when he’s lovestruck and broken, and then it’s puppy sweet).

I hope that the brief mention of Hardy’s brother, Hudson, and his young secretary (who happens to be his brother-in-law’s younger sister) are teasers for the next book with all these characters.

Laugh out loud, steamy Rom-com!

The first 3/4 of this book is amazing. So funny, witty, and adorable. I loved it. The last 1/4 of the book feels like the male lead was switched out. I don’t know. I really didn’t like where it went and I didn’t even want a happy ending at that point. It lost all of the wit and charm. Still enjoyed the book but would have liked something different. The narrators were amazing!

Okay… but…
