A male bonding legacy left by the camaraderie of seven boys connected as children through their experiences at their local boys club now has serious, possibly murderous, implications. Beautiful women are being slaughtered in West Side, MA. Major Crimes Unit Captain Rudy Beauregard and his team are looking at psychotherapist Candido Rodriguez as the prime suspect who appears to be the nexus for all these murders.

Rodriguez's childhood friends deny the possibility. The pursuit of the killer leads the team to the city's underbelly including its exotic dancing scene, political activism, and even Irish music. Will the childhood bond be broken? Defense Attorney Norberto Cull, friend of the captain and of Rodriguez, and one of the seven, defends him, as the detectives investigate all the boys' adult lives leading to a dangerous ending.
