Brown is a P.I. . He is a Big guy. That's where the nickname Bear comes from. There is a lot of funny scenes in this. I don't get the cover a different book cover may help it. I don't know why it's not got more ratings. I thought it was a great book. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm glad I came across it. It holds your attention and it's so funny. Theo Holland does a great job narraiting this book. If my review was any help will you please click the helpful link. Thank you

In the true sense of telling and not showing, it was still extraordinary in the era of detective books/tv series/movies I grew up knowing.
I enjoyed the roller coaster ride. The characters were fun or funny and I liked them.
Narrator knew how to deliver it and I loved listening to him.
However, I tired of hearing “Texas this” and “Texas that”. I’m sure I heard it every 5 minutes. The author definitely didn’t let you forget everything was in Texas. Also too often, it gave us Google Maps directions to everything. I had to wonder ... was this really a hidden scavenger hunt for amateurs?
Another edit and edition would do wonders to tighten it up.

It was a good listen.  I really enjoyed the story.  The main character Brown was an interesting character that keeps you on your feet.  The narrator did a great job of bringing the characters personally through.

Good listen
