She's been his from the moment they met... she just didn't know it yet.

Jax is tasked with hunting down the pages connected to a dangerous artefact. The last of his brothers to break his curse, he never believed he’d ever find his mate. Until he met her, his opposite in every way. Thea is impulsive, loud, and brings color to his world of grey. But with danger lurking and the fate of everything tied to the artefact, Jax must keep his distance and protect her from the shadows.

Until one of the pages is stolen…and he knows exactly who took it.

Thea was content being a petty thief, but with her father’s hospital bills piling up, she needed to earn more. And fast. So when a friend offers her a high-stakes job, she would be a fool not to take it, wouldn’t she? It’s just a page, a simple document, but this quick job spirals into a dangerous mistake. Because others are after the same page, and they’re willing to harm her to get it—everyone except for him.

Thrust into a war she never knew existed, Thea is forced to work with the quiet, cold Guardian to hunt down the remaining pages.

Will they be able to find them in time, or will she lose everything?

What a great adventure. I've read the first couple of audibles last year, then I got my hands on this one and now I have to go back and read the other few... lol
I loved Jax and Thea. I just loved the dynamics between the two. They just fit. What a roller-coaster of a book. The only thing is I think the book needs proofread though. There were some hiccups, but overall a great story.

I really enjoyed this addition to the series. I didn't want to hit pause ever! Jax is secretly a sweetheart underneath all the grump and dark danger shell and I didn't see that coming- and yea maybe he pulled a little stalker-ish behavior to keep his mate safe before she would give him the time of day but it's a paranormal romance so ya know, comes with a fated mates territory sometimes. But even so, it wasn't overtly invading (in book terms) and it was actually kinda heartbreaking because Thea's presence calmed him even when she didn't realize it. When Jax and Thea ignite- well there comes all the steam with plenty of banter because Thea still wants to deny the connection. And the humor- I do not think I laughed this much in any of the other books of the series. I am smiling now just seeing some of the scenes that made me laugh or melted my heart play out in my head. Of course there is danger and action leading to the over protective alpha Jax and his beast to come out, because Thea is nothing if not stubborn. The narrators did a great job bringing the characters to life.

What another fun story! That Rune cracks me up! This isnt all fun and games though. It does have a lot of action and it really kept me on my toes. I never knew what Thea was going to come up with next. She is spirited and quick thinking. With Jax I pretty much already knew what he was thinking most of the time. I love all the different characters that come into play in the book. Narration is well done! Both narrators nailed their parts and were enjoyable listening to.

Fun and full of action!

Burn of Obsidian is the 6th book in the Curse of the Guardians series. This book is about Jax and Thea and is told from both of their points of view.

Jax is in charge of hunting down a dangerous artefact. When Thea needs money for her hospital bills, her friend tells her about a job stealing a document. She doesn't realize this is the same document Jax is in charge of finding, and he ends up on her doorstep to get these files back.

They must work together, and Thea realizes there is much more going on than she originally believed. There were some twists I didn't see coming and I enjoyed seeing these two characters get to know each other.

Will they get their happy ever after?

Jax and Thea

Can be read/listened to as a standalone even though it's the sixth book in the series. The narrators did a good job. I enjoyed listening to this one. This was a bit of a slow burn romance but there is a lot going on. Jax is part of the Guardians and Thea is a petty thief. Thea is smart, witty and sassy. Jax is a bit of a grump but also protective. I found this entertaining, a bit dark and funny, especially Ruin and the context that comes out too funny.

Entertaining!
