CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP FOR TODAY’S WORLD

It is impossible to promote and uphold, in any society,standard moral values related to every aspect of human life where no one believes in Godly leadership. The consequences are inescapable as evidenced by the wars and bloodshed of the twentieth century; the result has been the fall of Christian leadership. According to Gushee, Christendom refers to “lands that adopted orthodox Christianity as their official religion, beginning with the late Roman Empire, then its successor European states, and finally the lands colonized by Europeans beginning in the fifteenth century”[1]. We see a difference between the two, Christianity in its purity and Christendom in its cupidity for power and riches ; Christianity ruling with the word, Christendom dominating by the sword. Since the old testament the kingship and the priesthood were two different offices; the throne and the altar were never to be united; in the New Testament,the church and the state were never mixed. The unwanted legacy left by Christendom continues to haunt our world We are completely shocked by what Christendom did to Christianity. There is a need again today to remove Christendom from Christianity by returning to the basics of Christian leadership . This book is just a contribution to the Christian faith’s moral legacy in leadership . May it be a blessing to everyone.
