Abel and Cain regularly prepare sacrifices to God, but Cain's selfishness is very clear next to Abel's generosity. Shale's versatile voice gives the brothers distinct characters: Abel is innocent and kind while Cain is envious and small-minded. Jealous that Abel pleases God more, Cain murders his own brother, and Shale describes the consequences of Cain's actions with clarity.
