Great read

Nice balance between a well developed story line and steamy content. The narrator was one of the best I've heard!

Ever like the hero more than the heroine in a book? Although I don’t agree with all his decisions, Hale is the more interesting character in the story. Raine is likable and fun but sometimes easily distracted. They are a pair to root for though. Hot lovin’!

A Wonderfully Delightful RomCom! Fabulous Listen🎧

I loved this book, the story is entertaining and captivated my attention from start to end. Lydia Michaels is a gifted author, this is my fourth of hers and it was great to see another side of her creative mind. In addition to some great humor and witty banter and dialogue it contains a lot of heart. The characters are likable, easy to relate to and connect with. Rayne Meyers became one of my favorite characters, she was a train wreck at times, had no filter at other times, an honest and good person. She winds up taking a job that takes her out of her comfort zone due to her lack of experience, not only job wise but life wise too. But she wings it and tries to make it work, but her boss, Remington Davenport, is not the nicest person or the easiest to get along with but Rayne does not let that get to her. And then there is his some, Hale Davenport, a good looking charmer. Hale had the wrong impression about her at first but she turned out to be nothing like he thought. I loved these two together, they were so different from each other, worlds apart in so many ways, yet they were perfect together and for each other. While we do see parts of Hale’s human side I felt she brought more of that out of him. I even like the bond Rayne developed with Remington, though I can not say he had much of a human side, LOL. This book is an enjoyable delight, the story is beautifully plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is drama, humor, heartfelt and emotional moments and a charming romance. Lydia Michaels, thank you for this wonderful story, I loved where you took these characters with the continual growth throughout the story. I am looking forward to what comes next for them and hope the books comes to Audible soon.

I listened to the Audible edition, Ashley Trumpler was the perfect narrator to bring these characters and their story to life. She does an awesome job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. She sets the perfect tone for the story and handles the witty dialogue with ease. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she captures the characters emotions and projects them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. This book caught me off guard, totally and completely. Crying from laughing so hard! The audio just brought the FMC to life and I was living for it!

Rayne Meyer's is a MESS and calamities follow her wherever she goes. Feeling unfulfilled, she applies to be a billionaire's personal assistant. To her surprise she gets the job. No sooner does she find herself out to sea and in literal close quarters with her boss's very attractive, and very charming son, Hale Davenport. Hale is everything Rayne is not but she may be the best thing for him.

This is the funniest book I have read in a while. Rayne's inner thoughts had be laughing out loud. The highlights I made in this book are some of the best one-liners. I absolutely LOVED the movie and show references too.

Rayne is a fun and funny character and you just can’t help but love her! Her inner voice is so fun! And with a name like Calamity Rayne what could go wrong in a world you know nothing about. Nice narration.
