Decent enough

The repeatedly calling Ava “Queen” was ick for me. Like once in while is one thing but constantly eye roll. Would have been better as a duet.

Beautiful story with an outstanding narration!!

Kay Cove has come highly recommended so I hit play on this and went into it blind...WOW, I absolutely loved everything about this storyline and audio narration!!! It’s just an incredibly beautiful story that is so relatable as it deals with body insecurities, confidence and truly loving yourself. At the same time it is also so swoony and sexy with all the fantastic spicy lessons! On top of all that, you also have a top tier man, Finn who is genuine, supportive, and the biggest hype man for women!

The way I just loved Finn and Avery in this story!!! They are both overcoming toxic relationships and while Finn is helping her know her worth, they grow together and find the love that they both truly deserve in each other. Just an outstanding storyline that was so much more than I expected but I am now hooked on Kay Cove!!!

🎧AUDIO REVIEW:
What an incredible performance by Lee Samuels & Heather Firth in this audiobook!!! I already loved both of their voices individually but as a duo their voices blended together so incredibly well they completely fit the description of their characters! It made it so easy to fly through the audio as they just embodied Finn & Avery with their delivery of the story!! I did not want to hit pause!

First you have Lee Samuels who has a deep, sexy, and seductive tone which completely matched Finn’s character. He has this caring yet commanding edge to his voice, which played so well into the narrative so well as Finn is teaching spicy lessons in this story. Then there is Heather Firth, whose voice I just adore!! She put so much emotion, feeling and passion into performance which just made Avery feel so realistic. Just superb acting skills as she did everything from pretending to cry to chuckling at certain moments.

Overall, this audiobook is just an amazing casting as Lee & Heather completely hit out of the park delivering Kay’s incredibly story!

Out of my comfort zone

When I first thought about reading triggers I expected perhaps I wouldn’t be able to read the explicit stuff like assault or kidnapping, etc. I did NOT however think I’d be triggered by the first few chapters of this book. (SPOILER) The way it punched me in the gut when he breaks up with her because she gained a little weight hit me harder than I expected and I honestly didn’t know if I wanted to finish the book. I took a 24 hour break and wanted to try again. And boy am I happy I did!

This book is great for anyone who struggles with body image and the way society tells women that they should be rail thin. Praises for this author and this book! I loved it!
