Sam Smith hates mornings. Especially when his mom comes in to wake him up for school. She flips on all the lights, opens up the curtains, and pulls off his covers to freeze him. And that’s not always the worst part. He still has to take the bus to school, but half the time he ends up walking. It’s usually raining out as well, and he tends to get soaked from the passing cars.
Today is off to an especially bad start. He’s late for school, he couldn’t sleep all night, and it’s raining really bad. School isn’t any better either. He get picked on by a bully, gets caught in a major food fight, and then ends up in the principal’s office for something he didn’t even do. Can this day possibly get any worse?
Sam is so glad to be able to get back in his bed. But when he wakes up the next day, he finds it to be just as bad. In fact it’s exactly the same. So is the next day. And the next. Everyday seems to be exactly the same as the one before. It’s as if he’s stuck in a loop that has no end. Surely there has to be a way out of here. Even a new day would be nice. Will Sam ever make it past this Tuesday, or will he continue to live this same day forever? Find out, in Trapped in Time.
