She came to heal children's hearts. She never expected to find her own healing in a small town's sweetest tradition....

After a devastating broken engagement, school counselor Kate Wilson returns to Mistletoe Meadows seeking a fresh start away from Boston's betrayals. The charming Christmas-themed town seems perfect for rebuilding her life and career—as long as she keeps her heart safely locked away.

Jack Henderson's world-famous candy canes have delighted generations, but the third-generation candy maker is struggling to keep his family business afloat while raising his seven-year-old daughter Lily, who hasn't spoken a word since her mother's death two years ago. When the school principal suggests Kate might help Lily, Jack's protective walls start crumbling with each candy cane they make together.

As Christmas approaches, Kate finds herself drawn into Mistletoe Meadows' holiday magic. Between Secret Saint missions with the McBride family, helping with the Christmas festival, and finding unexpected joy in Jack's candy shop, Kate discovers the community she's always longed for.

But when a corporate chain threatens local businesses and Lily begins to see Kate as a mother figure, the pressure becomes too much. Can Kate overcome her fears to help a silent child find her voice? And will Jack let go of his past to embrace the sweet future that's right in front of him?

Return to beloved Mistletoe Meadows in this heartwarming tale of second chances, small-town charm, and Christmas miracles that will leave you believing in holiday magic long after the last candy cane is gone.

Perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber, RaeAnne Thayne, and Jenny Hale, this emotional Christmas romance continues the beloved Mistletoe Meadows series with a story of healing, hope, and the sweetest holiday traditions.

I loved the fullness of the characters, well written as always for this author.

Beautifully written, on Bible principles.

I knocked a star off because the writer should have kept their notes from the previous book in the series where we left off with a cancer diagnosis that turned into a diabetes diagnosis in this book. Otherwise, I’m enjoying the series.

Writer needs to review previous books

I’ve followed this author and her other series. This series has some inconsistencies that are really distracting. Spoilers alert- in one Marjorie is driving to see her family and thinking on the news she got from her doctor and decided to not dwell on it or tell her children until after the holiday. What the news is is not shared with the reader. In the next book Roland is worried about her and finally her doctor daughter, Terri, evaluates her and diagnoses her with cancer. Marjorie was deciding if she wants treatment but makes Terri and Roland keep it to themselves until after Christmas and now in this book she has diabetes but maybe more and the whole family knows. If this description is confusing…. Welcome to the club. The inconsistency is driving me nuts. Isn’t this something an author would map out or an editor would pay attention to? Her other series have flowed well and been cohesive… this series not so much. The stories on their own are sweet and a festive listen… but as a series be prepared to be confused on what is going on with Marjorie

Trouble with consistency
