I due strampalati cugini Cane e Lupo, diversi come il giorno e la notte, sono alle prese con l'arrivo di Cucciolo. Quando il padrone lo porta a casa, piccolissimo e bisognoso di affetto, Cane inizialmente si ingelosisce un po', poi però si lascia conquistare dalla sua tenerezza e gli basta poco per affezionarsi. E Lupo? Lui è furbo, dispettoso e opportunista come sempre, e cerca di addestrarlo a cacciare per lui, senza alcun risultato. Arrabbiato e affamato, pensa allora di papparsi il nuovo arrivato, ma non ha fatto i conti con Cane!
