Mobster Found Dead at Town Pier. And that’s just the beginning ...

When a luxury ship owned by a notorious mafia family anchors off the coast of Pelican Cove, it brings with it glitz, gossip and a casino stirring up trouble. Cafe owner Jenny King wins a contest for her famous cannolis and is hired to curate the menu for the ship’s grand party.

But when the ship — eerily named Isabella, like the galleon that sank there centuries ago — lives up to its cursed reputation, a dead body washes ashore.

Most of the suspects have a criminal background and the sheriff warns Jenny against snooping around. Overwhelmed by the renovation at the cafe, she agrees. But when a local woman becomes the next victim, the stakes go up. Aided by her friends, Jenny starts unraveling the clues one by one, trying to reconstruct what happened on the ship that fateful night. Can she find the killer before any more lives are lost?

Meanwhile, the spring festival takes a turn for the worse. Accusations fly and the town faces a historic standoff.

Cannolis and Casinos is a pageturner with fast paced action and surprises around every corner.

If you like cozy mysteries featuring strong heroines, small town drama, yummy food and a dash of romance, you will love this book.

I tried to make it through the book, but I just couldn’t. The story was good but the AI couldn’t even pronounce cannoli correctly, pausing in the wrong spots, and not at all like it should be. If being read by a real person, it would have been wonderful.

Bad BAD AI reading!
