This slow burn, enemies-to-lovers romance with a found family brings all the feels. It serves up a deliciously grumpy hero and the spicy-sweet heroine who just can't resist him. Oh, and there are falafels. Because why not?

Author’s ability to turn the ordinary into extraordinary.

I enjoyed this story as I have all the others I’ve read in the Cove series. I particularly like the way the author makes her characters ones I can identify with instead of super billionaires, super geniuses, super beautiful, super powerful, etc. etc. her characters are all the more interesting because they are dealing with their own foibles and eccentricities. 

The female reader is incredible no matter what part she reads. The malereader is absolutely delicious when reading male parts, but is either improving on his female parts or else I’m just getting more used him.

It is a book that is part of “Calico Cove Series” and can be listened by itself and there’s no cliffhanger.This is a good series and the characters of previous books are related to each other without confusing the listener and I am love with this series. Once again, this story doesn’t depend on the previous books and can be enjoyed by itself. It is a feel good book, talks about trauma, love, and second chance! I loved the narrators! They had a stellar performance! I suggested starting with Book 1. Happy listening! Overall, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
