Liberals for liberty

A very apt modern defense of liberty. Perhaps not as comprehensive as certain other works by Von Mises or Rothbard, but certainly more palatable to a modern audience. I also appreciate that Friedman does not cede the term “liberal” to the authoritarian, paternalistic progressives who have co-opted the dead husk of the liberal movement. He is very precise and consistent with his terminology which I find important in economic theory

It’s somewhat disheartening yet motivating to learn how far we have strayed from the principles of liberty which largely defined the progress thus attained in the west. Whether you agree with Friedman or not, it is certainly worth a read and should be mandatory reading in the public schools which I wish to see replaced by a universal voucher system. It is understandable why it is not.

I do not think there is a better book as required reading for any high school or college student or any free citizen.

This book is a this book is a must read. so many of our elected elite continue to look for
the the most expedite solution (throwing money recklessly) rather than finding a path that truly solve the underlying condition.

dry, very dry to listen to ....

perhaps a different narrator?, yet the words are dry. written like a true scientific economist.
