A first-class, page-turning read

One of the best

Not difficult to be utterly taken by Elizabeth George - she is one of the best crime novel writers ever. And I really appreciate the audio productions of her books hence would be delighted to find the earlier E. George novels (that I have all read) soon as audio books. I surely would buy them all!

Not sure what is it about

I’m halfway through the book, and still can’t figure out what is it about. A boy is found dead, sure, then the next thing you get is a bunch of different characters introduced in a way that you have no idea who is who. And in the meantime the main story (which I presume is to find out how did this boy end up dead and if someone helped him) is not moving an inch.

I picked this book following Crispin Redman. As much as I enjoyed his easy breezy switching between accents and intonations, it felt too me that he was reading too fast for no good reason.

I didn’t finish listening and I doubt I’ll get back to this book.

Maybe sounds better than the end result??

Would you try another book from Elizabeth George and/or Crispin Redman?

At the moment no. But a yet I am have to finish the novel (as it does not have any needs to want to listen to it!!) !!
