It’s the year 2069 and Carol Gevada has taken over her step uncle Zachary Nixon Johnson’s freelance PI business. Zach was the last freelance PI in the world, who would seemingly save the world once a year. Carol has taken that mantle, well kind off. She’s technically employed as a gadgets tester by Zach’s brilliant but looney scientist friend Doctor Randy Pool. Yes, she works for the same man who cloned her once for kicks. Even in 2069 men still seem to underestimate women.

Carol and her assistant the android Harry Mann (another of Doctor Pool’s creations) get hired by Ex-Teen-Pop-Godless and current world council member, Sexy Sprockets to check Tia Queen. Tia was a reality show star famous for being famous who now is running for a world council position. Sexy a low-level psi believes that Tia must also be a psi and she is scamming the system using her powers to win the election. Sexy just needs proof so she ruin Tia. Even though sexy wanted to hire Zach she figures Carol will do since she is a psi also. Carol takes the case figuring this her chance to prove herself to the world and maybe even herself that she can fill Zach’s shoes.

Carol and Harry along with Zach’s wise ass hologram assistant HARV delve into the world of politics. Carol learns nobody is this game called politics is quite as good or evil as they may appear. To complicate matters she find herself more than a little attracted to Harry Mann.
