What if Winston Churchill’s untimely death reshaped World War II and allowed Hitler’s Germany to turn fully eastward?

Here's what unfolds in this compelling sequel to Cascading Divergence: 1940: An Alternate World History Begins:

  • A New Reality: With Britain neutralized, Germany’s ambitions pivot entirely toward the vast Soviet Union.
  • Operation Barbarossa Unleashed: Free of distractions in the West, Hitler launches history’s largest invasion, determined to seize Lebensraum, the "living space" he sees as Germany’s destiny.
  • A Soviet Union in Denial: Stalin, trapped in his illusions of security, ignores escalating warnings, leaving the Red Army dangerously vulnerable.
  • Battles of Catastrophic Scale: German panzers race toward Moscow, while Soviet forces desperately scramble to respond. Cities fall, chaos reigns, and history diverges ever further from our own.

Why listeners love this series:

  • An Epic Saga That Captivates: Each book in the series deepens the alternate timeline with realistic, detailed storytelling.
  • Complete, Yet Enticing: Every installment is self-contained, delivering satisfying conclusions while leaving you eager for the next divergence.

Dive Deeper...

Historians know that great wars hinge not just on grand strategies, but also on small decisions—moments of hesitation, chances not taken. With Britain now out of the fight, the world stands at a precipice, and Germany’s full strength is unleashed upon an unsuspecting Soviet Union. Stalin, blind to the threat, refuses to see the warnings of impending doom. As millions of German troops surge across the border, the very fate of nations hangs in the balance.

This is the second book in the Cascading Divergence saga, a series designed for listeners who crave engrossing, realistic historical fiction that can be savored in focused, powerful stories.

The author gave Joseph Stalin way too much courage and bravery. The man was a thug, gangster and rank coward by nature. In the real history, the moment enemy planes got within 500 miles of the Kremlin, he packed up all of his belongings and hightailed it as Far East as he could get. I have heartedly believed that the author is a closet Communist. That's because he keeps trying to make Stalin look brave, heroic, dignified and commanding.

Stalin's contradictory nature.
