Cassius alone stands between the realm of Evlontus and complete destruction in this riveting tale of swords, magic, and deception that rewrites the classic theme of good versus evil.

Imprisoned within Cassius’ soul lives a terrifying dark force threatening to destroy all existence. As his control over it weakens, it is up to his brother, King Magnus, along with his deceitful machinations, to repress and vanquish the evil entity and restore balance to the realm. Total annihilation looms over Evlontus, and the brothers’ efforts begin to unravel due to the interference of two soldiers, Japheth and Ellendarra.

When the truth is finally revealed, destiny takes them down an unexpected path toward the ultimate battle between good and evil.

Dark evil is trapped deep within the soul of Cassius. Cassius is growing weak and must rely on his brother King Magnus who has his own demons to battle. Although Magnus is capable of regaining balance for their realm, others will interfere. One of those has a connection to Cassius that complicates the goal.

The author, D.C. Armstrong crafts a world threatened by evil, balance, and truth. These plot twists keep the listener captivated and focused on the characters and storyline. Each character is richly described and is given a personality that thrives. Well-written, the dialog is realistic and flows smoothly furthering the story. I enjoyed the sibling relationship challenges. This piece was realistic regarding the emotions, feelings, and interactions.

The narrator, Nathaniel Priestly provides unique voices for each character and engages the listener by drawing them into the story. His performance is captivating and clearly spoken. His delivery is steady and reflective of the action within the story. This is my first-time hearing Priestly perform, and he did a great job.

Overall, this is an engaging story with vivid characters and plot twists.
