Getting to know Rick

A good short story that gives you a glimpse of Rick’s history. I liked how it explains certain things & how it may affect the main story.
I also like novellas as they add some details that are not usually in the main storyline. It helps me form a more well rounded narrative & are enjoyable to read/listen to while on a lunch break or something like that.

I want more!

This is such a good story! The characters in Faith Hunter’s books are always so well rounded, I really get attached! This one tells the story of how Rick got his cat tattoos.
My only criticism is that it’s over!

I loved it!

This was such a surprise. I found these books and thought they were just more stories about Jane in New Orleans. I had no idea what a treasure trove I had found and what I was in for. I was so happy at the end of my first book to find that these were stories of Jane’s history and how some of her backstories played out that are just referenced throughout the series. I also enjoyed hearing the stories from Molly’s perspective. It was money and time well spent.

Excellent prequel / origin story for Rick

Unlike some of these shorts, this one has a beginning, middle and end as it tells the origin story of Rick and his cat.

This is a fun short story, but be aware that it is an extract from one of the other books, not a new story.
Also be aware that while some of these 'shorts' are an hour or more long, others are rather less than that.
Very enjoyable listen anyway!
