Discover how each figure of the nativity can lead your family closer to Christ this Christmas season. Learn the tradition of the tinkling bell, whip up a batch of French cocoa, create a tender mercy tree, and find ways to make your gift giving more meaningful as Celebrating a Christ-Centered Christmas guides you through seven meaningful traditions inspired by the nativity setting. These simple experiences will give you an opportunity to escape from the frantic busyness of the Christmas season to spend time reflecting on the Savior and the miracle of his birth.

This book is unlike any I’ve read before. As a newly saved Christian, I’m thankful for the focus she placed on each character study and the challenge that each one gave me to bring me closer to Jesus Christ.

This short listen is a phenomenal, touching audio that will help to position all of us who love the Lord into a different way of thinking about, talking about and celebrating the birth of our Savior. Some of the things included, our family started many years ago, taking the focus off Santa Claus, onto Baby Jesus, but the others I hadn't thought of. Some others, we do as a family, aren't included here, such as a Birthday Party for Jesus. The love of Christ is evident in the author's words and thoughts, and I would encourage you to take the time to listen and share her ideas. A wonderful holiday listen.

Listen for ideas but listen with an open heart. Listen again and again. Like all mothers, I am extremely busy and I can only hope to accomplish a small part of this, but I hope to build on it each year and incorporate my own ideas. It's hard for women to get along sometimes but we need to encourage each other, even if in random acts of kindness. For Christ.

One Christmas season in the 1990s, Emily’s toddler daughter said, “I believe in Santa Claus and you believe in Jesus Christ.” As a result, Emily decided to change her family traditions in order to reflect Christ above everything else. She shares all of her Christ-centered family traditions here.
