From New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby comes an all-new Small Town, Friends to Lovers, Law Enforcement romance.

Summer Quinn’s life changed five years ago when she walked in on her boyfriend and her best friend in bed together. She silently left, ghosting both of them, and never looked back. She came to Bitterroot Valley, looking for a fresh start, and that’s exactly what she got.

After purchasing the local floral shop from her eccentric aunt and finding herself again in the absolute delight she brought to the community, Summer feels welcome and safe in her new home.

But things have started to happen. At first, she could blow it off as bad luck, or kids starting trouble. But then the bad luck turns into serious, life-threatening incidents that can’t be ignored.

Bitterroot Valley is Chase Wild’s town. His family settled the area almost a hundred and fifty years ago, and as a police officer, Chase takes pride in keeping his community safe. Sure, he’s had his eye on the gorgeous florist since she moved to town, but he’s kept his relationship with her strictly professional.

Now, someone’s trying to scare Summer. She claims she doesn’t know why, but Chase is determined to get to the bottom of it and drive the danger out of his town. As time passes, and the more he gets to know Summer, the harder it is to keep his hands off of the beautiful woman. With their connection growing, he’s falling in love with her and will do anything to keep her safe.

As Chase learns the truth of who is threatening Summer, will he be able to protect her, and will their love withstand the challenges ahead?

Chasing Wild is a standalone, contemporary romance novel, and book two in the picturesque Wilds of Montana series.

Enjoyed every minute of this. Loved how the author set several more characters for future stories.

Great narrators and good story. He falls first. Touch her and you die. I love all the banter between the characters. Talk about physical abuse.

Chasing Wild is a beautiful, heartfelt love story that pulls you in from the first page. Summer and Chase’s chemistry is undeniable—sweet, passionate, and full of real emotion. I loved how Kristen Proby captured their connection, blending small-town charm with the thrill of second chances. The pacing is just right, and the side characters make the story even richer. I only wish it had lasted a little longer because I didn’t want to say goodbye to these two! A wonderful, feel-good read that romance lovers will adore.
The narrators brought characters to life. Connor Crais’ voice brings so much to the characters.

The overall story is good. I had to suspend judgment a few times with a female character who was supposed to be strong and bad ass, yet allowing Chase to call her "Blondie" irked me to no end. I also tried to give Chase the benefit of the doubt as a cop trying to be sensitive, which as someone who has worked with cops, I think Connor Crais portrayed accurately even if I lost patience with the MML at times too.

I had to suspend judgment at the end with Evan as well. Like it was already established he was a dirt bag and not to be trusted, then the MFL lead goes off down the block with him!? I was expecting an abduction frankly. The dog Lily stole the show for me.

Connor Crais and Stella Hunter played off each other very well. Timing was spot on and Stella Hunter does male voices SO well! I love that Connor doesn't force a female voice. which actually is more effective.

There is open door sex scenese for anyone who is sensitive to that content.

TRIGGER WARNING for abuse and stalking.

The storyline was great! The foul language almost had me just turning it off. It may not bother some people but for me, I’m like why. It doesn’t add to the story, it only makes me upset. Foul language does not make things look great. It does not make anyone sound great. To me, it only makes people look uneducated and ridiculous. It’s not needed in so many situations.

The story line, though, was great. The only thing that I have a hard time with (other than the language) is the fact that when the female narrator was reading stuff Chase was saying, it was so low, I couldn’t hear what was said.
