Chelsea Dreams

It was love at first sight for Seth Fournier and Chelsea Langham and after a whirlwind courtship the young couple eloped.

Honeymooning in Edinburg Scotland during the internationally famous New Year's Festival known as Hogmanay, tragedy struck. A random shooter appeared in the crowd and opened fire. Seth's final memory of the horrifying moments was whispering 'run' to his young bride.

Eight months later he woke up in a hospital in Boston Massachusetts. His brother Liam was standing by his bedside. "Eli's flying in from the coast, mom and dad are on the way, everyone is coming." He assured his confused brother. After an eight month coma, Seth's speech was stilted, almost incomprehensible, but he had to know, he had to ask the question... "Where's Chelsea?" he struggled to eek out the words. "Where's my wife?"

"Seth, what are you talking about? Who is Chelsea? Pal, you don't have a wife." His brother assured him.

Nothing short of a miracle, the doctors declared in unison. They had never expected Seth to wake up. "It was not at all surprising he was confused. Chelsea, the wife, was obviously the result of a coma dream. As time passed, he would realize that she wasn't real."

But, the doctors were wrong. As days and weeks passed, he became more and more convinced that she was real. And more and more confused about her current whereabouts? Where was she? Why would she have left him when he needed her most?

Was he losing his mind? Did the bullet in his brain cause some type of irreversible damage? As his family worried, and he tried to come to grips with the unacceptable possibility that she actually wasn't real, he struggled with a question that he could not answer.

When you believe something with all your heart, and everyone you know and trust telsl you, you're wrong, who can you ultimately trust?
