Interesting story!

This was an interesting and adventurous installment to the series. I liked it and look forward to the next book!

Vivi does another great job with this historical western series. Amanda also did a great job.

A long journey

Another great book by Vivie Holt she has a way with words. I always enjoy her books and the audible sir very good. Amanda did a great job of narrating this. that's great story land and very good characters very interesting and enjoyable.

Dan and Claudine!

Another riveting story in the Paradise Valley series, Vivi Holt takes on a taboo topic of the times, as well as a suspense filled romance! Claudine, a slave running for life with her baby, is captured and sold separately from her child. Now on a mission to locate her little girl, she finds herself caught up in danger. Dan Graham arrives at the house of the woman he loves only to find that she has been killed. Now seeking revenge, he crosses paths with Claudine. What these two don't realize is not only is there danger on their horizon, but feelings are growing! Will they survive and find love? Holt writes with love in her heart. It's a story of family, motherly love, hurt and revenge and blossoming romance. I loved Dan and Claudine because their love didn't see the color of their skin. They found love and solace in each other in times of fear, times of love and looked to the future with love in their hearts.

Amanda Stribling brings this gem to life with her wonderful voices. She has a knack for understanding her characters and is able to add that in to voices she uses. I enjoy her narrations, and am glad she has continued this series.

Revenge or Forgiveness?

Claudine was a slave and was forced to give up her infant. Now almost 10 years have passed, she is free and is searching for her child. Dan is out for revenge against the man who killed the woman he loved and left her baby to die.
Dan and Claudine run into each other and Claudine has to rely on Dan many times to get out of some tough situations. Dan has a choice to make: continue with the revenge he has in mind or forgive and help Claudine.

I enjoy Vivi Holt's writing. Her plots and characters are believable and realistic. Amanda Stribling was the perfect narrator for this series. Her timing, pacing and character voices are spot on.

Color blind

During a time of slavery a mixed race couple who fall in love is not the norm. But God is color blind and so is love. Beautiful story. I received a complimentary audio and this review is voluntary.
