A man reflects on his idyllic childhood, as he tries to comprehend devastating news about his daughter.

Between 1977 and 1979, in their last years of primary school innocence, a boy and his best friend are having endless adventures in their beautiful Cotswold village.

Now, in 2003, the boy is a man, a husband, and father, whose own child lies listless in Bristol Children’s Hospital. Far from the carefree days of endless summers, Childish Ways explores the realities of growing up, of responsibilities, and of parenthood in extreme circumstances.

Childish Ways alternates between hilarious escapades of the late 1970s, to the horrors and anguish of dealing with a chronically sick child.
