After the Earth has a close encounter with a comet comprised entirely of dark matter, the world is changed forever. Within months the human race is all but extinct and struggling for it's very survival. Electronic magnetic pulses have knocked out all technology and the animals have begun to evolve into bipedal humanoid races, challenging man's dominance. Taken in by a new race, and raised from a young girl, Annabelle has a happy life. Now the young girl finds herself in the middle of events being influenced by sinister unseen forces.
