The gathering storm is upon us. The cost of inaction grows with every compromised network, every stolen secret, every embedded backdoor. But the path forward, while difficult, remains open.

It requires leadership that looks beyond the next election cycle, businesses willing to invest in long-term security over short-term profits, and citizens who understand that digital security is now inseparable from national security.

The question is not whether we can defend against Chinese cyber operations. The question is whether we will.
