Concise, interesting.

While not comprehensive, this is a solid introduction to Chinese mythology. I would like to see sections expanded into more fleshed out stories...particularly the monkey king and the Investiture of the Gods.

Absolute favorite

The stories are nor should the simplicity of some. They are, after all, CHINESE. The culture is different; the values are different; the symbology is different. I found the collection delightfully refreshing, and I particularly found some of the pieces extremely funny.

This is a great intro to Chinese mythology and highlights some very interesting stories from mythos and folklore this is not an in-depth look just a nice tease to leave you wanting more
