For Lucy Stone, the best thing about Christmas in Tinker’s Cove, Maine, has always been the annual Cookie Exchange. But the usual generosity and goodwill are missing from this year’s event, which turns out to be a complete disaster. Petty rivalries and feuds that have long been simmering finally come to a boil, leaving a bad taste in the mouths of many guests, including Lee Cummings - who accuses Tucker Whitney of stealing her recipe for low-fat, sugar-free cookies. But the icing on the cake is when Tucker is found strangled in her apartment the following morning.

Who could’ve wanted Tucker dead badly enough to kill her? Despite all of the ingredients for danger, Lucy sets out on the trail of a murderer and soon uncovers a Christmas secret best left wrapped.

Lucy Stone is great. I love the line in the end of the book when Lucy says, I just wanted to buy lobster for dinner.

Good story about a small town and Lucy Stone is once again in the middle of a murder. While preparing for Christmas there are many ups and for Lucy and her children. Had a good twist on who the murderer was.

I love this Lucy Stone series and this particular one is one of my favorites. The series has relatable characters and enjoyable plots!
I
really love this narrator, Karen White. She is excellent at conveying the different characters and moods, and a huge fun bonus is her excellent Maine accent as the character calls for it. I listened to a more recent Lucy Stone book with a new, different, narrator and was severely disappointed. Make sure you get the ones narrated by Karen White!

I love this series!

The story was great but I could have done without the frequent comments promoting the author’s liberal worldview. Entertainment should be the goal here.
