She has something to prove.
He doesn’t understand why she hates him.

When high school rivals Georgie and Eoin find themselves back in town for Christmas, the newly minted Glenwood Christmas Games draws them into a new competition. One Georgie is determined to win.

As the week of competition unfolds, the two discover that rivalry doesn’t have to mean war. Sometimes the best person to fall for is the one who pushes you the hardest.

This book was so much fun. I was laughing the entire time and loved the competition. I loved the idea of the whole Christmas festive season doing different things to help out all the local places and charities and making it a fun competition for those that wanted it to be. I loved the romance that developed it felt organic and well timed, and I’m pretty sure that if I had someone who loved to go running and my body could tolerate the running, I would be excited to see them every morning. Madison did a great job voicing the characters in this book. She totally captures the characters and makes it so much fun to enjoy this book.

Christmas Games & Candy Canes is the second book I have read written by C.P. Cabanis. This story was a cute Christmas rom-com read.

I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook version. The narrator, Madison Brunoehler, did a great job bringing this story to life.

Georgie and Eoin are high school rivals, and they find themselves both home during the holiday season in the middle of the town's Christmas Games. The more they do together, the more they find in common. As romance begins to unfold between Georgie and Eoin, we also find out the root of their rivalry. There were a lot of fun side characters, and this story made me laugh.

This rivals-to-more romance was kisses only, with a few make-out scenes.

The narrator did a fantastic job! All the voices for each character were distinct and the Irish accent was so good! And when the twins speak in tandem it was so cool to hear it!

I had already read the book and couldn’t wait to listen to the audio. It was even better the second time around! Somehow it was even flirter this time around and the text conversations were so swoony! I just love the small town, romance, and character development.

Georgie is a fun FMC who hasn’t ever liked her “high school rival”. Eoin finds himself back in town for Christmas and keeps running into Georgie. This is a short story of falling in love during Christmas, but isn’t an insta love as Georgie and Eoin knew each other years ago. While they both work on the Glenwood Christmas Games, they keep getting drawn together and in competition to each other. C P Cabaniss did a wonderful job drawing readers in and bringing the story to life. Madison’s narration was entertaining.

This was cute! It had a bit of enemies to lovers and Christmas competitions, which was fun.

Some of the writing felt a bit repetitive but overall I enjoyed it well enough.
