Family adventure in outer space...

An armada of space ships, veritable Noah's arks, leave Earth's polluted environment to colonize a new planet. Lead characters are: Odie, a ten-year-old boy; Joey, his four-year-old brother; Annie Nichols, a ten-year-old neighbor girl; and their families. Their adventures on the space ship plus the new environment of the new planet and a remnant of a tribe of carnivorous humanoids are frightening but the new home has two suns; what tastes like lemonade springs; and vanilla storms when it snows what tastes like ice cream.

However it is not very long before Odie and Annie's adventures, which include a confrontation with one of the hostile humanoids, prove to them that being ten years old in their new home is as much of a challenge and adventure as it was on Earth - only better!
