It’s been fifteen years since Rosamunde last lived at the vicarage in Potter’s Cove, the pretty coastal village where she grew up, experienced her first true love - and a heartbreak that changed her life forever. But now Potter’s Cove is calling her back: it’s time to make peace with the past and go home.

Rosamunde’s return to the vicarage in the days before Christmas is a whirlwind of festive cheer and heartwarming reunions with friends, family and her loving father, the vicar. And while seeing the old place after all this time stirs painful memories of long-ago grief, it also reminds her of all the love she left behind. Fifteen years ago she vowed never to let herself be vulnerable again - but now that she’s back she’s not so sure. Is it possible that real happiness could strike more than once?

Spanning three decades of family life, Christmas at the Vicarage is a warm, feel-good tale that examines what it means to love and to lose - and to be brave enough to try again.

This is worth the read if you like family Christmas stories!

Loved this book. The characters were believable. There was drama. There was humor. There was romance. Oh, and Christmas!

Our heroine is Rosamunde - the story follows her life in present day and then goes back to when she was a child and young woman. It is all stitched together nicely by the author.

Will definitely read more by this author.

I read both the ebook and also had the Audible. The narrator, Fiona Hardingham, is fantastic. I found myself listening more than reading this book - the narrator was excellent. I will look for more audio books narrated by her, too.

Lovely family Christmas story

I have heard all of Ms. Boxall's books on Audible and loved them all! The narration is perfect and it wraps you in a warm glow. Most of her books alternate between an historic story and a current story that eventually merge. Her stories are so English and she loves the country setting and vicars, as well as the healing power of family and love. She always has such endearing characters and situations. You will shed a tear and fall in love yourself!

As warm and loving as an English Christmas

I listened to this because of the narrator, because she is so good in everything she narrates. I was hooked at the start, but I feel like I ended up drifting into my own thoughts.

I didn’t really get into this story

Life has a way of letting us wander until we get it right. Good storyline. Good characters. Enjoy

Not a fan of the back and forth from past and present. Very distracting and it interferes with the flow of the story. Setting of the small cottage life is charming. However, seems that too much time has gone by and Rosemunde is now in her forties and finally ending up with the right man.

Not a fan
