Marquis Silivasi is an ancient master warrior in the arcane house of Jadon: a clan of lethal vampires living in the Rocky Mountains. Known to be harsh, unyielding, and socially inept, he and his iron core yield to only one person - his destiny, Ciopori Demir.

The beautiful, ancient princess can bend Marquis's will - and melt the vampire's heart - with nothing more than a crook of her finger. She owns the keys to his soul. Only this year, at Christmas, she has gone too far....

She has meddled in vampire-human affairs.

She has plotted behind Marquis's back.

And she has disturbed his fragile peace by offering to host a Christmas Eve gala at the couple's private estate, which is secluded for a reason....

It is time to teach the female a lesson - Marquis is still the master of his domain!

A serene, picturesque valley surrounded by snowcapped mountains; an internal family squabble, boiling to the surface; and a Christmas Eve feast, hosted by creatures of the night who don't eat, can't cook, and rarely socialize with humans....

What could go wrong?

"Christmas in Dark Moon Vale” is the kind of novella that feels like a full-length novel, complete with emotionally-complex characters we have grown to know and love, and multiple plot points that solidifies Tessa Dawn’s position as a top-notch author. I found myself laughing – then crying – but mostly absolutely delighted to be reading her latest installment in the critically-acclaimed “Blood Curse” series.

Poignant and memorable; a novella that delivers

What can I say, but wow...... Loved how the author put a family spin on the story! I laughed and listen with intent towards the end. Very loving and tender. It was an amazing book to add to the "Blood Curse" series!!!

Comical, yet sentimental!!

I love Tessa Dawn’s Blood Curse series and since I’ve read the others I thought I’d read/listen to this novella.

It was so funny. From the two stoned idiots, Mitch and Grady, that thought they would just go to the party of a house full of vampires and shifters and rob them and they would be billionaires. Needless to say, it didn’t turn out as they expected. Then to the spanking Marquis gave Ciopori. And boy, was she pissed off. He only hit her 3 times but it was enough that she wasn’t going to forgive him anytime soon. Then she had to explain the lumpiness under her clothes, where she had a bag of ice, to the other “destinies.” When I first saw a review that mentioned spanking I thought, “holy crap, don’t tell me that Tessa Dawn has jumped on the “spanking” band wagon.” BUT she didn’t, and I was so glad of that. Ciopori did get even with him but she used a large tree limb on Marquis.

The end was very touching with Keitaro giving each of his children and their mates their Christmas gifts.

There was no sex in this book and no swearing.

As to the narration: It was Eric Dove! What more needs to be said? He always does such a fantastic job on both the men’s and women’s voices. It was worth every bit of the $4.86 I paid for this novella.

Fabulous book and fabulous narration..
