Of the four stories hands down the best is first. The second and third are good, and I found the fourth a little too convenient.

I'm glad I had the audio to read along, the performance of the first is going to stay with me.

I recommend.

This was an unexpected surprise purchased during one of audibles sales. It’s a short tale that keeps your interest without boring back story that no one cares about.

Excellent short story with great narration

The readings were excellent. More like acting than just narrating. Unfortunately it was in the service of a story that was neither thrilling, heartstopping or even horrifying. Unlikeable and unrelatable characters. The plot jumping through time does nothing to enhance the story. The monsters aren't even that interesting. Would not recommend.

Very good voice acting NOT a very good story

Exquisitely written in the classic high handed British style. Ashforth is a deft dealer in Creeping Dread. He leaves the worst to your imagination, which is always best. You’ll definitely think of your assurance agent different post this read.
